Mar Guerrero(1991, Majorca SP). Her research focuses on the fields of arts, humanities and astronomy. She investigates the symbolic relationships between reality and fiction, as well as ideas of error and failure in the relationship between models of historical thought, whose responsibility is perceptible in the contemporary productive and visual consciousness. Her work reflects ideas of time, combining concepts of speed, duration and temporal experience. In this way, she questions the use of spaces and objects, linking ideas as renewal and waste using seemingly insignificant objects, ideas and events. Doing an exploration of the traces of a society in constant change towards a new one, to carry out an archeology of time that investigates the memory of spaces.

Tests for a proper motion choreography, 2020
Screen printing on different papers, 120 x 280 cm.
The main objective of the set of prints that are located on the
wall is to make a series of silk screen printings produced in
different formats. The images are built from basic shapes and
fragments of photographs taken from the ground that, through their
manipulation, resemble images from outer space. Taking one of the
most specific qualities of serigraphy which is repetition and
seriation, in this piece of work, through the use of several
differently articulated basic forms, a map of infinite
compositions is generated. Proper motion is the astrometric
measure of the observed changes in the apparent places of stars or
other celestial objects in the sky.

Video, 11 min 20 seg, 4K, color, stereo sound.
Five spheres wander solitary through different landscapes and
spaces that, in some way, refer to an imaginary that revolves
around the work of Stanley Kubrick. Various scenes have been
filmed inside the Fairmont Hotel in Banff, Canada. There are
several stories about ghosts that surround this hotel built in
1888, including the one about room 873. Legend has it that a man
murdered his wife and daughter before committing suicide. Due to
the apparent paranormal activity in this room the hotel decided to
cover the entrance. While hotel staff members claim that the
murder-suicide is simply another ghost story, you can find the
room has been sealed by a brick wall with just small traces from
the original wall plinth being left. The following video is
located between the genres of sci-fi and terror, creating a
suspense that seems to start constantly and never be resolved. The
viewer in introduced in a cyclical time that will apparently guide
events to a place invaded by doubt and uncertainty.

Recent studies suggest that the layer of ice covering the moon
Europa contains sodium chloride (NaCI), the main component of the
salt found on Earth. This reference serves as a starting point to
develop a series of images that simulate photographs taken from
the surface of Jupiter ́s moon, being images from the coast of
Mallorca. This spatial duality places us in a territory invaded by
ambiguity and uncertainty. The spheres that create the images
emerge in a map of distant movements and stellar encounters.
